spring/summer 2019

April 18, 2019

Our spring/summer 2019 collection has felt SO good. I’m loving the look and feeling of all the beachy vibes. Living on an island, surrounded by water, I’m always inspired by the sea. This collection was inspired by my oceanside living. The pearls, the angles, the simplicity of it all. Hope you like it!

These photos of Brittany were shot by Emily Michelson in Tulum, Mexico.

studio life 1.0

January 27, 2018

My studio is my life. Well, to a certain extent. When you own a small business and you’re in the first couple years you work all the time. You have to. You wear many hats. But you know what… I love those hats. The reason I have a tough time contracting out bits of my business is that I don’t want to give up on those jobs that I so admire. I mean, there are positions that I dislike, but for the most part I enjoy it all. Crazy, I know! Maybe that’s why I’m still doing what I’m doing.  So for now, I’ll just keep doing me.

| about the photos |

  1. polishing and stone setting station
  2. soldering station – I do have a oxy-propane torch set up but I can’t use it in my current studio, but stay tuned, one day I’ll get to use it
  3. I’m plant sitting some of my friends plants while she’s in Mexico for 6 months – so far I’ve kept them alive
  4. I took some photos of myself the other day wearing some jewels for social media – taking me back to my high school selfie days
  5. me and my pups. Sometimes I feel like I run a dog daycare instead of a jewelry studio with the amount of bones that are scattered across the floor.

cozy – blush + black outfit

January 26, 2018

That perfect cozy winter outfit. The softest sweater and jewelry you don’t have to take off when you go to bed. Studs make great everyday wear — you can even leave them in while you shower and sleep. That way the next day when you forget to put on your jewels (which I’m famous for) you’re set with your simple studs. Then enjoy that first cup of coffee in the morning while you cozy up next to the fire, light your favourite candle and journal. Plus, who wouldn’t want some some gold jewels and on your wrist?

sweater | jeans | watch | camera | earrings | toque | mug | cuffs | 2.0 ring | luna dot ring | candle | polish | journal

My ‘first’ blog post, welcome!

January 16, 2018

I’m not going to lie to you – I’ve tried starting a blog a couple of times now. Now, I’m not saying I tried and failed. I just got distracted and let it sit on the back burner, always knowing that one day I would start again.

I must admit that I love sharing my ideas and inspiration. I love to create and I love crafts. Hence me starting a handmade jewelry company. DIY is my thing! Plus I cook every night for my husband and me. I like to think that if I wasn’t making jewelry I might be doing something with food. I absolutely love clothes and putting together outfit ideas. I live on a small island and I raise chickens. But the point is, I want to share all that I make, cook, and everything in between.

Recently I shared my process of how I make a simple stacking ring on my insta stories. I’m proud to say that it was quite the hit. So many of my followers were private messaging me and telling me how amazing and interesting it was to learn the process behind what I do. I think we need more of that in the world. People need to be educated on how our jewelry, our clothes, and our day to day objects are made. The thing that I have always loved about hand made pieces is the intimacy that shares with the maker. I want to share that. There’s so much that goes into having a small creative business. There are ups, and there are downs. I’ve learned a lot along the way. I’m proud of where I am today, but it wasn’t without a lot of hard work and dedication. I hope that by telling my story I can inspire you to follow your dreams.

So this is me, sharing with you all – my process. My day to day life. From behind the scenes of owning a small business and living on a small island. To outfits that go with the jewelry I make and the food that goes on my table. I still have a long way to go in my little business and I hope you’ll be along for the journey.

Being an island girl I obviously love the ocean. Here is me, enjoying a sunny winter day and crystal clear water. Photo’s by Keegan Pearson Photography.
